You can register for Dayforce Wallet within the Dayforce Wallet app or in Dayforce by following the registration steps. Registration requires a valid email address, phone number, and a Dayforce account. 

We will also ask for additional information as required by Canadian law, including your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see a copy of your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

The final step in registering for Dayforce Wallet is to confirm your address so that a card can be sent to you.

To activate your Dayforce Wallet Card, you can call Customer Service at 1-888-999-6824 and select the Dayforce Wallet Card option for card activation. This number is also listed on the back of your card for easy access anytime. As part of the card activation process, you will retrieve your PIN.

You’ll typically receive your card in 7-10 business days. If you haven’t received your card within 25 days, contact Customer Service at 1-888-999-6824, and they will be happy to assist you.

You can add your pay to your Dayforce Wallet Card in one of two ways:

1. Many employers offer their employees on-demand pay, which means you can add your available pay to your Dayforce Wallet Card at any time, without having to wait until your standard payday. More information about on-demand pay can be found below.
2. You can also have your pay automatically deposited to your Dayforce Wallet Card each pay period by setting your card account up for direct deposit. You can have some or all of your paycheque added to your Dayforce Wallet Card even if you also use the on-demand pay feature. Available earned pay is the net amount of your wages available to you. This number will grow larger as you complete shifts, and it will shrink as your employer processes your regular paycheque.

In the Dayforce Wallet app, select Add Pay to Card and choose the amount of available earned pay you would like to add to your Dayforce Wallet Card. You cannot undo this action, and this amount will be paid to you immediately and not at the regularly scheduled pay cycle, so proceed with caution.

You can make an on-demand pay request:

1. In the Dayforce Wallet app, select Add Pay to Card and choose the amount of available earned pay you would like to add to your Dayforce Wallet Card.
2. In the Dayforce Mobile app, tap Get your pay and choose whether to send your earned pay your existing bank account or the Dayforce Wallet Card.

You cannot undo both actions, and this amount will be paid to you immediately and not at the regularly scheduled pay cycle, so proceed with caution.

Once funds are loaded to your Dayforce Wallet Card, you can begin using them (subject to limits). Please see the Cardholder Agreement and Fee Schedule.

Yes, each time funds are withdrawn, Dayforce Wallet automatically protects or withholds the proper amount of taxes, garnishments, and other source deductions for you based on the transaction amount. The amounts are visible in your earning statements on Dayforce.

Yes, because each on-demand pay is a true payday, each on-demand pay will have a corresponding earning statement available in Dayforce.

Within a pay period, the amount of money you have requested as on-demand payments is reduced from your normal paycheque. The earning statement will reflect each on-demand pay distribution separately, as well as a total with the applicable earnings, deductions, and total amount distributed. The hours used to calculate the on-demand payment are not used in future payments.  Your normal paycheck will only reflect wages you have not already been paid.

You can use your card anywhere Mastercard is accepted. You can use your card to make online and in-store purchases, to pay bills, and to withdraw cash.  

Dayforce Wallet Card account details can be found by clicking on the Home page of the Dayforce Wallet app or within the Account section of the app.

Yes, you may use the 16-digit Dayforce Wallet Card number printed on your card to pay any bills that can be paid via a debit card.
 

Yes, the Dayforce Wallet Card can be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. 

Generally, yes, but be sure to check with the merchant before your transaction, as not all retailers accept multiple payment methods. If your purchase costs more than the balance on your card, most merchants allow you to simply pay the difference with cash or another payment method.

There are no balance minimums, monthly fees, or fees to add your available earned pay to your card. Consult the Cardholder Agreement and Fee Schedule for a complete list of fees that do apply.

If you forgot your password, there are two ways you can create a new one. Follow the steps below in the Dayforce Wallet app:

• Tap on Forgot?
• Enter your account email address and tap Next to continue

If you are asked to choose how to receive a code*:

• Select Email Me, Text Me, or Call Me
• Enter the One Time Passcode sent to the selection you made
• Create your new password

If you are asked to enter the code that was sent to your email**:

• Enter the code you received
• You’ll be asked to answer security questions to verify your identity
• Once verified, create your new password

*To use this feature, your device needs to meet the following requirements

• Your device needs to be registered with Dayforce Wallet. This can be accomplished by logging in to your account on this device.
• You need to have a passcode or biometric login enabled (Face ID/Touch ID on iOS or fingerprint/face recognition on Android).

**If the email you enter is not associated with a Dayforce Wallet app account, you will not receive a code.

To enable two-step verification, go to the Account screen in the Dayforce Wallet app. Under the Security section, tap Two-Step Verification and toggle the Protect my account option to turn it on. The button will turn blue.

Doing so prompts periodic two-step verification to verify your identity and login credentials, including when using a new or unrecognized device. You can also choose to have two-step verification occur every time you log in.

You can close your Dayforce Wallet Card account by calling 1-888-999-6824. Removing the Dayforce Wallet app does not close your account.

To change your phone number: navigate to the Account screen. In the Personal Information section, tap the mobile number. Click on Change Number. Enter your NEW mobile number and tap Next. A code will be texted to the number created. Enter the code and tap Done.

To change your user ID/name and address, or other relevant information: please contact Customer Service at 1-888-999-6824 to make applicable updates. You may be asked to provide additional information to protect your account.

Upon separation from your employer, you will no longer be able to request or receive on-demand pay from this employer, but you will still have access to any remaining funds on your Dayforce Wallet Card. You can continue to add funds to your card, including pay from another employer. If your next employer doesn’t offer Dayforce Wallet, you can still have your direct deposit set up to go to your Dayforce Wallet Card. If your next employer does offer Dayforce Wallet, you can link your card to the new employer.

Transactions can be viewed in the Dayforce Wallet app, categorized by on-demand payments, spending, withdrawals, and transfers. One year of history is available in the app. Call Customer Service to request 24 months of written transaction history.

Yes, employees can transfer funds from Dayforce Wallet to an external bank account using the Dayforce Wallet app. However, one of the benefits of Dayforce Wallet is that it is designed to help employees manage their pay and expenses all in one place. There are no fees to transfer funds to another account.

You can send your pay directly your Canadian bank account where you already receive direct deposit. To do so, log in to the Dayforce mobile app and find the Earnings section on the home screen. Follow the prompts to verify your information, then choose to send to My bank account.

You do not have to open a Dayforce Wallet Card to send pay directly to your bank. If you have a Dayforce Wallet Card, you can still opt to send pay directly to another bank account for a fee. 

Sending pay to your Dayforce Wallet Card is free. Sending pay directly to another external bank account incurs a fee of $3.99 per transaction.

Not all employers choose to offer on-demand pay with Dayforce Wallet. Check with your employer to see if this is available to you. Some blackout dates and limitations may apply based on your employer's pay cycle and configurations. People’s Trust does not administer and is not responsible for on-demand pay.

There is an ATM locator in the Dayforce Wallet app, which will help you find the closest fee-free ATM near you. To navigate to this feature in the app, go to your Account. Scroll down to the Help section, click on Find ATMs Near Me. You can also use the ATM locator here.

There is a default PIN (Personal Identification Number) assigned to your Dayforce Wallet Card. Call Customer Service at 1-888-999-6824 and follow the prompts to retrieve your PIN. You can change your PIN at any in-network ATM, but you need to know your default PIN first to change it. You can find the closest fee-free ATM near you by using the locator here.

Yes, you are limited to withdrawing $510 per day. The ATM operator or network may also impose other limitations. 

Please notify us immediately of the loss, theft, or unauthorized use of your Dayforce Wallet Card. Call Customer Service at 1-888-999-6824, Monday – Saturday, 8 am EST – 6 pm EST.

There is a $10 Card Replacement Fee if you request a replacement card prior to the expiration date of your card.

The Dayforce Wallet Card may be used outside of Canada for purchases and ATM withdrawals. International Transaction Fees, International ATM Withdrawal Fees, and International ATM Decline Fees apply. See the Cardholder Agreement and Fee Schedule for complete details.

Access to your Dayforce Wallet Card is protected by a unique Personal Identification Number ("PIN") as well as security measures designed to protect you from unauthorized use of your card.

You will have no liability for transactions that were not authorized by you if you exercise reasonable care in safeguarding your card and Dayforce Wallet log-in credentials from risk of loss or theft and, so long as that upon becoming aware of any loss or theft, you promptly report such loss or theft by calling Customer Service. Funds loaded onto your Dayforce Wallet Card are held by Peoples Trust Company (“Peoples Trust”), the issuer of the card and a member institution of Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (“CDIC”), and the funds are considered an eligible deposit. You as a cardholder are recorded as a depositor on Peoples Trust’s records. If a member institution fails, CDIC will reimburse your insured funds for eligible deposits made under the member institution, up to maximum of $100,000 per insured category, per depositor, per CDIC member institution. This means if Peoples Trust closes, CDIC will reimburse your funds on the card, combined with any other eligible deposits you have with Peoples Trust, for up to $100,000 of deposit protection, per insured category, per depositor. The Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (“CDIC”) is a federal Crown corporation, established by Parliament in 1967, that contributes to the stability of the Canadian financial system by providing deposit insurance against the loss of eligible deposits at member institutions in the event of a member institution failure. CDIC is not a bank. CDIC is not a private insurance company. You do not need to sign up for deposit insurance. Coverage is free and automatic for eligible deposits in any of CDIC member institutions. You can use the CDIC deposit insurance calculator to calculate your coverage and help you understand more about coverage. Follow these steps when using the calculator:

• If your CDIC eligible card is in your name only:
  • Select In Your Name as the insured category.
  • Select Peoples Trust Company as the institution you bank with.
  • Select Chequing Account as the type of deposit you have. 
  • Add the value of your balance on your card as deposit value in Canadian Dollars and select Confirm Deposit.
• If you have any other eligible deposits at Peoples Trust, such as another CDIC eligible card issued by Peoples Trust or you have RRSP, TSFA or other eligible deposits accounts, you should add these insured deposits when using the calculator to determine your complete coverage at Peoples Trust.
• The CDIC coverage calculator gives you the option to calculate CDIC eligible deposits for one or multiple CDIC member institutions insurance coverage.

At this time, mobile phones are supported for both Apple (iOS version 13 and higher) and Android (version 6.0 and higher). Tablets will be fully supported in the future; currently, they can be used, but optimal functionality is not guaranteed.
