Getting access to your pay early is exciting, but don’t forget to keep your wages safe. Here’s how to improve your on-demand pay security in Dayforce Wallet.

In today’s digital world, cybersecurity fraud is on the rise. And without strong security measures in place, you may be even more susceptible to fraud. But, by following cybersecurity best practices, you can help keep your information safe and secure.

Read more to learn easy security tips that can help protect your Dayforce Wallet account, so that you can better enjoy on-demand pay1.

1. Set up two-step verification

Two-step verification protects your account by adding an extra layer of security to the login process. When this is on, a verification code sent through text, call, or email is required to log in. If you need to reset your password, two-step verification makes the process easier by allowing you to reset it directly in the app using a verification code.

When two-step verification is on, it will be set to “Protect my Account,” where you are only occasionally asked to enter a code. But you can also update your settings to have two-step verification occur every time you log in to your Dayforce Wallet app.

Turning on two-step verification is easy. Simply log into your Dayforce Wallet app, then navigate to Account > Security > Two-Step Verification.

2. Use a strong password

Protecting your account starts with the basics. A strong password is the first and most important step in keeping your account secure.

When creating a password, use a mix of characters, numbers, and uppercase/lowercase letters and make sure it’s a minimum of 12 characters in length. If you’re having trouble creating your password, a password manager app can create strong and unique passwords for you.

Change your password in the Dayforce Wallet app by navigating to Account > Security > Change Password.

3. Keep your information up to date

Regularly reviewing and updating your personal information can help with account recovery and ensure that important communications reach your inbox. Review your information under Account > Personal Information in your Dayforce Wallet app.

Looking to update your address, email, or legal name? Reach out to customer support for help.

4. Track your activity

Monitoring your transactions can help you stay on top of suspicious activity. If you notice a transaction that you didn’t make, immediately change your password and contact customer support.

View your activity by logging into the Dayforce Wallet app under “Activity.”

5. Enable push notifications

Push notifications can immediately alert you of account activity so you can take action and secure your account. Get notified when there’s a transfer or purchase made over a set limit from your account. You can also be notified of changes to your PIN or phone number.

Customize your notifications under Account > Notifications2.

6. Freeze/unfreeze your card

If you misplace your card, easily prevent unauthorized purchases with Freeze Your Card. This feature locks and unlocks your card immediately, giving you more control over your security.

Once you’ve found your card, simply unfreeze it, and you’ll be able to make new purchases, transfer money instantly, or withdraw cash at ATMs again.

As cybersecurity threats continue to evolve, taking preventive measures can help protect you against fraud and keep your information secure. With these top tips, you’re on your way to safe on-demand pay use.
